Cops Denied Immunity For Warrantless Entry

BOSTON (CN) - The 1st Circuit ruled that Massachusetts police officers violated a man's constitutional rights by entering his house without a warrant based on an "unfounded suspicion" that he received a package containing drugs. The officers claimed to have been alarmed by "the box's heavy taping, its California return address, and the lack of a requirement for a signature."
