MANHATTAN (CN) - A Sleepy Hollow police detective faces a charge of witness tampering in addition to his previous assault and civil rights charges, federal prosecutors say. The superseding indictment says Jose Quinoy used threat and intimidation to "influence, delay and prevent the testimony" and "induce a person to withhold testimony".
Quinoy, 37, of Tarrytown, was charged in 2006 with assaulting and injuring a person who had already been restrained and handcuffed.
Both Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown are in Westchester County, just north of the Tappan Zee Bridge.
