Consumer Class Action

Lumbermen's and Kemper insurance companies refuse, in bad faith, to compensate policyholders who must attend legal proceedings for covered vehicle liability claims brought against them, according to a class-action complaint in Cuyahoga County Court, Cleveland.

Citizens Financial Group and Charter One illegally revoked or reduced the balance on thousands of gift cards, a class-action complaint claims in Cook County Chancery Court.

In a class-action complaint in Marin County Court, Robert Bartlett claims Ford of Marin sold him a used 2007 Ford Focus as new.

Costco is the latest retailer to face a class-action complaint accusing it of selling house-brand milk as organic, though it is not. Costco gets its "Kirkland" and "Wilcox" milk from Colorado-based Aurora Dairy Corp., plaintiffs claim in Seattle Federal Court.
