SAN DIEGO (CN) - California's Senate Bill 777, which prohibits sexual discrimination, will cause horrible problems in schools - in locker rooms, for example - the California Education Committee claims in a federal lawsuit. The bill, recently signed into law by defendant Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, "recklessly abandons the traditional understanding of biological sex in favor of an elusive definition that is unconstitutionally vague," to unfairly give "special treatment ... for a select few students," the plaintiffs say.
