Connecticut Goes After Countrywide

HARTFORD (CN) - The State of Connecticut demands civil penalties from Countrywide Home Loans for misrepresenting the terms of unfair adjustable-rate mortgages it sold to consumers. The state demands $100,000 for each violation of banking laws, $5,000 for each violation of business laws, restitution, an injunction and other relief.
