Conn. Supreme Court

ENVIRONMENT - The Connecticut Supreme Court held that federal law pre-empted the Connecticut Sitting Council's jurisdiction to consider radiological risks and long-term environmental effects of a storage facility for spent nuclear fuel. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's need to comply with federal legislation does not cede its authority to the states.
