Congressman Wants To Change Torture Law

WASHINGTON (CN) - Here are link to texts of new bills in Congress. HR 4114, by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., would "modify certain provisions of law relating to torture." HR 4132, by Rep. Steven Kirk, R-Ill., would "increase the exclusion of (taxes on) gain from the sale or exchange of a principal residence to $1 million." HR 4127, by Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, would "prohibit the further minting of 1-cent coins until the Secretary of the Treasury and the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System certify in writing that there is not a surplus of 1-cent coins already available." And HR 4133, by Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., would "amend title X of the Public Health Service Act to prohibit family planning grants from being awarded to any entity that performs abortions."
