ST. LOUIS (CN) - A former Anheuser-Busch consultant pleaded guilty to federal charges of stealing more than $400,000 of computer hardware from the beer giant. Jack Walter Barrett Jr., 43, pleaded guilty to one felony count of interstate transportation of stolen goods.
Barrett worked as an information technology consultant at Anheuser-Busch between July 2006 and Jan. 31, 2008. He had access to the brewery's computers and admitted he stole computer hardware, took it home and sold it on eBay to buyers in Maryland, New Jersey, California and Oklahoma. He faces up to 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines at his Dec. 19 sentencing.
