Exclusive Media Services, of Oxford, Miss., sold a guy a magazine subscription for $2, then billed his credit card for $673 and threatened to report him to credit agencies unless he pays it, John McCarthy claims in Douglas County Court, Neb.

The Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association claims Organix misrepresents its product, "RePeat," as containing peat moss, but it's manure, with no peat moss at all, in Portland, Ore., Federal Court. (Courthouse News confesses that we posted this complaint due to our delight that the Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association exists.)

The State of California claims Bret Peterson and P.S. Distributing, of Providence, Utah, are illegally selling a "Looking Trim" diet supplement that contains Ma Huang extract, with ephedrine, in Napa County Court.

The National Railroad Passenger Corp. (Amtrak) challenges the validity of the Passenger Rail Labor Bargaining Coalition, and also sues these member groups in DC Federal Court: Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees, International Brotherhood of Teamsters; Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen; National Conference of Firemen & Oilers, SIEU; and the American Train Dispatchers Association.
