Members of the armed forces claim Legal Recovery Services falsely threatened them with courts martial and dishonorable discharges in trying to collect debts, in two complaints in Sacramento Federal Court. They also sued Paul Stassinos, Donna Sims, Alan Mecham, and Adam Perry.

Ernst & Young and Bertelsmann AG are accused of aiding and abetting fraudulent accounting at AOL Time Warner, in New York County Court.

Oregon Health Sciences University demands $740 million from Washington Casualty Co., and Employers Reinsurance Corp., claiming they wrongfully refused to compensate for losses in medical malpractice suits, in Portland Federal Court.

Bateman Litwin and Bateman Engineering demand $88 million from Robert Swain, claiming he defrauded them by misrepresenting the finances of his company, Delta-T Corp., which he sold to the plaintiffs, in Newport News Federal Court.
