Comeuppance Prepared|for Poor Dialysis Providers

WASHINGTON (CN) - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services have proposed a quality incentive program for Medicare outpatient end-stage renal disease dialysis providers and facilities with payment consequences, beginning Jan. 1, 2012.

The proposed program would reduce end-stage renal disease dialysis payments by up to 2 percent for dialysis providers and facilities that fail to meet or exceed a total performance score.
