Come Off It, Newspapers Tell Texas Governor

AUSTIN (CN) - Cox and Hearst Newspapers demand expense records from members of Gov. Rick Perry's security detail on out-of-state trips, including two to the Middle East this year. The newspapers challenge the Texas Department of Public Safety's assertion that release of the records of expenditure of public money will violate Gov. Perry's privacy and place him "in imminent threat of physical danger." See the federal complaint.
