DENVER (CN) - Leonid Shifrin and his father Mark Shifrin, both of Englewood, Colo., and their partner Jerry Johnson, of Aurora, used more than a dozen businesses to cheat Colorado homebuyers in mortgage transactions, including misrepresenting adjustable-rate mortgages with negative amortization as fixed-rate loans, the State of Colorado claims in Denver County Court.
The defendant businesses include Mortgage Planning and Lending Specialists, Wholesale Mortgage Lending, Mortgage Processing Group, Shifrin Inc., Jupiter Lending, United States Marketing Associates, and CBA Inc.
