NEW HAVEN (CN) - A college student has sued Amtrak and its police officer Glendon Thornton, claiming Thornton abused his power by handcuffing and sexually molesting him.
The student claims Thornton, on duty and in uniform at Union Station in New Haven, offered him a ride to the college in the early morning, then took him to a secluded place, handcuffed him and groped him inside his pants, claiming he was showing him how he would search someone, and described what had happened when he had molested other people. Represented in Superior Court by Jose Rojas of Hartford, the plaintiff demands damages for assault and battery, false imprisonment and emotional distress.
