A federal court in California denied five lacrosse players’ request for a preliminary injunction against Fresno State to bar it from cutting the women’s lacrosse team or any other women’s sports team. However, the university must provide the women’s lacrosse team with better equipment and a locker room for the remainder of the school year.

FRESNO, Calif. — A federal court in California denied five lacrosse players’ request for a preliminary injunction against Fresno State to bar it from cutting the women’s lacrosse team or any other women’s sports team. It did, however, order the university to provide the women’s lacrosse team with better equipment and a locker room for the remainder of the school year.
