CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College in Iowa cannot sell Grant Wood paintings that were gifted to it in 1976, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled . A letter of intent accompanying the gift clearly indicated the paintings should remain with the college and not be transferred for monetary gain.
