Coin Collection

An appeals court in Pennsylvania ruled the lower court properly calculated restitution for a defendant who stole a coin collection and sold it to support his drug habit. The criminal information originally noted the coins were worth around $2,000, but the court set restitution at their acquisition cost of $86,974.

The criminal information originally noted the coins were worth around $2,000, but the court set restitution at their acquisition cost of $86,974.
