Club Sues Rapper Jim Jones|for More Than $15,000

MIAMI (CN) - A Miami nightclub claims in court that a member of rapper Jim Jones' entourage shot a gun in the club, forcing it to shut down before Jones performed.

Coco's Nightclub sued Joseph Guillermo Jones II aka Jim Jones and his manager 4th and Goal in Miami-Dade County Court.

Coco's claims it paid Jones's manager a $2,500 advance for a May 26 concert, and paid another $2,500 in cash "in the early morning hours of May 27."

But it claims a John Doe in Jones's entourage then "removed a gun from his person and discharged it," though the contract stipulated that no one in Jones's group was to bring a weapon into the club.

"As a result, plaintiff's entire place of business was evacuated and closed down for the night without any performance by Jones," the complaint states.

Coco's claims it lost more than $15,000.

The manager, 4th and Goal, is owned and/or operated by Daniel Cooper, according to the complaint. Cooper is named in the complaint, but not listed as a defendant.

Coco's seeks damages for breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

It is represented by Virginia Gilliam of Miami Gardens.
