MINNEAPOLIS (CN) - The State of Minnesota cheats shortchanges on Medicare reimbursements, six clinics claim in Federal Court. The clinics say the state's violation of federal law has put some of them "on the brink of financial disaster and has imposed significant uncompensated administrative costs on all FQHCs [federally qualified health centers].
The plaintiffs - Cedar-Riverside People's Center, of Minneapolis; Cook Area Health Services, of Isanti; Lake Superior Community Health Center, of Duluth; Native American Community Clinic, of Minneapolis; Open Cities Health Center, and West Side Community Health Services, both of St. Paul - are represented by Gordon Apple of St. Paul.
