Class Sues SprintNextel Over ‘Picture Mail’

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. (CN) - A federal class-action complaint accuses SprintNextel of defrauding consumers by advertising a $5 monthly cell phone charge for "Sprint Picture Mail," but concealing that it would charge another 3 cents for each KB of data transmitted with the service.

The lead plaintiff says it cost him $69.72 in one month.
