Class Sues Pfizer & Pharmacia

PHILADELPHIA (CN) - A federal class action claims Pfizer and Pharmacia & Upjohn fraudulently pushed prescription drugs, including Geodon, Zyvox, Lyrica, Aricept, Lipitor, Norvasc, Relpax, Viagra, Zithromax, Zoloft and Zyrtec. The class claims the companies pushed the drugs for off-label uses, misrepresented their safety and effectiveness, and paid doctors bribes and kickbacks for prescribing them.

The putative class is represented by Donald Haviland Jr.
