Class Sues Insurer Over Cancer Policies

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CN) - A federal class action claims Central United Life Insurance breached "thousands" of policies sold as "Persistency Bonus and Withdrawal Benefit Riders" by shortchanging policyholders. The class claims Central offered the riders to customers who bought cancer insurance.

Plaintiffs' lead counsel is Michael Cully with Lowther Johnson of Springfield, Mo.
