Class Is Waiting for Sears Rebate

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CN) - Sears Roebuck advertises "free delivery" for major appliances that cost $399 or more, but actually charges $75 for delivery, makes customers fill out forms to get a "rebate," and delays the rebate for 3 months or more or does not send it at all, a class action claims in Middlesex County Court.

Plaintiffs say Sears does this through its own stores and through co-defendant The Great Outdoors stores. Plaintiffs say they sent in their rebate forms in November 2008 and still haven't got their rebate, and Sears is unable or unwilling to explain why. They are represented by Andrew Wolf with Galex Wolf of North Brunswick.
