SAN JOSE (CN) - Hewlett-Packard Pavilion laptops and Compaq Presario laptop computers can't pick up wireless signals as advertised, a class action claims in Federal Court. The class claims HP has received "thousands of consumer complaints for its defective wireless device [but] has systematically refused to warn or advise consumers".

The class claims HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario V3000 laptops have the defect. The HP Pavilion models include the dv2000, dv6000, dv9000, and tx1000.
