Class Claims CVS Caremark Overcharges|For Couples’ Prescription Drug Copayments

MANHATTAN (CN) - CVS Caremark overcharged for copayments for prescription drugs for a husband and wife who have different insurance plans, the couple claims in a federal class action. The Felixes claim the drugstore chain billed the husband at his wife's more expensive copay rate when he ordered by mail.

As an employee of drug company Hoffman-LaRoche, Arthur Felix got a special rate for Roche drugs purchased under his company plan. His wife Maureen was covered separately, through her job as a public school teacher.

Arthur Felix claims that when he bought drugs through the CVS Caremark Mail Service Program, it charged him copays based on his wife's more expensive rate.

The Felixes and the putative class are represented by Daniel Cobrink.
