Class-Actions Filed Over Vytorin & Zetia

MANHATTAN (CN) - A class-action complaint demands $100 million from Merck & Co. and Schering-Plough for their alleged fraud and misrepresentation of the cholesterol drugs Vytorin and Zetia, in New York County Court. Media reports this week indicated that the drugs may not reduce cholesterol, as claimed. Similar class-action claims have been filed in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Newark Federal Courts.
