Class Action Calls ‘Cost Recovery’ A Scam

TEXARKANA, TEXAS (CN) - A federal class-action complaint accuses Cost Recovery Corp. of defrauding drivers across the United States by dunning them for charges allegedly owed to city police departments that respond to fender benders. The named plaintiff claims CRC repeatedly threatened "further action" if she did not pay them for "police squad car response ... to a motor vehicle accident." See complaint.
