An item published in the February 20 issue of this page under the headline "Colorado Busts Alleged Mortgage Scam," which reported on a civil complaint filed by the Colorado Attorney General against various defendants, including Leonid Shifrin, Mark Shifrin, Jerry Johnson, Mortgage Planning and Lending Specialists, Wholesale Mortgage Lending, Mortgage Processing Group, Shifrin Inc., Jupiter Lending, United States Marketing Associates, and CBA Inc., did not mean to imply, through the headline, that criminal charges were pending against any of the defendants, or that any of the allegations in the complaint had been proven either true or false.
