BATON ROUGE — A naturalized U.S. citizen claims in a federal complaint that the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office jailed him for three days because of his Latino last name and falsely classified him as an out-of-state fugitive, though it had in its possession his U.S. passport, Social Security card and certificate of naturalization.
