The Massachusetts Hispanic Law Enforcement Association and five Hispanic or black officers have sued the cities of Lawrence and Methuen and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Boston Federal Court, claiming their sergeant's exam has "a disparate impact on minority test takers."

A class-action complaint accuses the Australian Wheat Board and Banque National de Paris Paribas of supporting Saddam Hussein, allowing him to kill and torture, in Manhattan Federal Court.
