A federal class action complaint accuses the City of Chicago, Mayor Richard Daley and numerous police officers of fabricating evidence and malicious prosecution. Plaintiffs are represented by Blake Horwitz.

Four women claim the Sheriff of Marion County, Fla., had them stripped naked and put in a cell with a violent felon for the purpose of being beaten, on misdemeanor offenses, in Ocala Federal Court.

Roberto Garcia accuses the City of Chicago and nine of its cops of stealing his money, use of excessive force, and false arrest on drug charges. Garcia is represented in Federal Court by Louis Meyer with Lawrence Jackowiak. Here are the defendants: City of Chicago, Officers Paul Zogg, Margaret Hopkins, Donovan Markiewicz, Frank Villareal, Jerome Finnigan, Keith Herrera, Stephen Del Bosque, Joel Gonzalez, and Tim Parker.

Plaintiffs represented by The Animal Law Office claim the Cities of Santa Monica and Los Angeles and UCLA have a pattern and practice of abusing the legal process and discriminating against people who protest animal cruelty. See complaintin Los Angeles Federal Court.

The Gabrielino Band of Mission Indians accuses Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne of illegally refusing to include the Band as a federally recognized Indian tribe, in Los Angeles Federal Court.
