Willie Frank Collins Sr., an elderly black man, claims City of Bessemer, Ala. police officers shot him in the back during a drug raid that they meant to conduct on the house next door, in Bessemer County Court.

"T.W.," sentenced as a sex offender in 1992, sued Washington State and Spokane County, claiming the 2006 law, SB 6519, which requires him to report every 90 days to the Public Safety Building in Spokane, is an unconstitutional, ex post facto punishment. See complaintin Spokane Federal Court.
