LaSalle County, Illinois’ State’s Attorney Felony Enforcement unit illegally seized more than $1.7 million from out-of-state drivers after stopping them without sufficient justification, and spent much of it on improper things, one such driver claims in federal court.

CHICAGO —  A driver claims in a federal complaint that the Felony Enforcement unit of the LaSalle County, Illinois, state’s attorney illegally seized more than $1.7 million from out-of-state drivers after stopping them without sufficient justification, and spent much of it on improper things.
