Civics Education

A federal court in Rhode Island dismissed a putative class action brought by students and parents who claimed the state is denying them an adequate civics education. However, the court commended the plaintiffs for bringing the case, adding that the suit “highlights a deep flaw in our national education priorities and policies.”
