City Councilman Sues Police Chief

COVINGTON, KY. (CN) - A councilman for the city of Villa Hills claims the city's police chief and another cop had him maliciously prosecuted to retaliate for his investigating true reports that the second cop was double-dipping by being paid to do building inspections while he was also on the clock as a police officer.

City Councilman Michael Martin demands punitive damages from Police Chief Dan Goodenough and police Officer Joseph Schutzman.

Martin is represented in Federal Court by Robert Abell of Lexington.
