Citizens Fight Gas Wells In San Juan Forest

DENVER (CN) - The U.S. Forest Service plans to devastate the San Juan National Forest, foul the air and water and kill protected flora and fauna by its illegal approval of the Northern San Juan Basin Coalbed Project: 140 natural gas wells that will require construction of 70 miles of roads on federal land, in violation of numerous environmental laws, the San Juan Citizens Alliance claims in Federal Court.
