Cities Complain of Pac Bell Cable Service

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Los Angeles, Sacramento and El Segundo sued Pac Bell and AT&T California in Superior Court, claiming they violated federal law by failing to provide basic cable subscribers with public, educational and governmental access channels.

One plaintiff, the Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission, represents the city and county of Sacramento and the cities of Citrus Heights, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove and Galt.
