Churches and Casinos

LAS VEGAS — A federal court in Nevada denied a church’s emergency motion for a temporary restraining order and injunction to allow it to resume in-person services of more than 50 people. The church argues that casinos and other businesses are allowed to operate at 50% capacity but the court points out that casinos are subject to “much greater restrictions and oversight” than places of worship.
