Asylum Request

The Board of Immigration Appeals failed to account for evidence of changed country conditions when it declined to reopen an asylum request for two practicing Catholics from Indonesia who overstayed their non-immigrant visas in the U.S, the Second Circuit ruled. The two offered sufficient proof of the rise of hardline non-Muslim sentiment and persecution of Christians in the country.
