Chris Bosh’s Ex-Wife Says He Blew her Deal

ORLANDO (CN) - The mother of Christopher Bosh's child claims the Miami Heat star tortiously interfered with her contract to appear on a "reality" TV show called "Basketball Wives."

Allison Mathis' complaint comes 6 weeks after Bosh sued her and Shed Media in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming they misappropriated his name and image and violated his privacy and trademark.

In her countersuit, in Orange County Court, Fla., Mathis claims Bosh and his "agents, attorneys and representatives made numerous false and/or damaging communications" about her to Shed Media, which cost her a role on the show.

Mathis claims Shed agreed to pay her $625 a week, plus $2,500 for each of the first five episodes in which she appeared, $5,000 per episode from then on, plus an option to pick up her contract for 4 more years.

She claims Bosh blew her deal by telling Shed Media, falsely, that she "was prohibited, under several binding agreements she had with Mr. Bosh, from performing the on-camera acting services pursuant to the agreement," and by "falsely stating that plaintiff was prohibited under several court orders from performing the on-camera acting services pursuant to the agreement, and that continuing to allow plaintiff to perform her acting services would result in a violation of the court orders," and by threatening to sue Shed Media if it kept her on the show.

Mathis claims that "as a direct and proximate result of these statements, Shed Media terminated the agreement and its business relationship with plaintiff."

She claims that "in all likelihood, plaintiff would have continued to perform under the agreement for at least four additional seasons and continued to receive compensation in excess of $250,000."

She seeks damages for tortious interference and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She is represented by Jane Carey and John Benford.
