A federal judge ruled that a public schoolteacher’s mandatory obligation to report suspected child abuse does not end when she leaves the classroom, and that the Colorado State Board of Education was justified in not renewing the contract of a teacher who knew her husband was sexually abusing their daughter for years, but did not report it.
