Chicago Bridge & Iron Loses Antitrust Appeal

ANTITRUST - The 5th Circuit has affirmed a Federal Trade Commission order requiring the Chicago Bridge & Iron Co. to divest assets it received from Pitt-Des Moines Inc. to prevent a monopoly. The court ruled that Chicago Bridge & Iron's "somewhat ineffectual" evidence does not rebut the government's "stalwart" case. See ruling.
