Chevron Sues over Ruptured Oil Pipeline

OAKLAND, Calif. (CN) - Chevron Pipe Line Co. demands more than $1 million in damages from a worker who allegedly ruptured an oil pipeline in Sunol, Calif., spilling several hundred barrels of oil and shutting down part of the line for nearly three days.

Chevron claims Cody Peterson hit and ruptured a portion of the Bay Area Products Line while excavating land for Cronin Ranches in Sunol, Calif.

The plaintiff is represented by Filice Brown Eassa & McLeod in Alameda County Court.
