Chevron Accused Of A Dirty Trick

HOUSTON (CN) - Chevron is trying to duck $42 million in decommissioning costs for oil wells by selling its Four Star Oil and Gas subsidiary to a "financially irresponsible" company, AMCO, GOM Shelf Claims in Harris County Court. GOM claims Chevron's dirty trick breaches contract, as Chevron knows AMCO has negative net income and will dump the total decommissioning costs of $120 million to $150 million on GOM. See complaint.
