Charter School Boss Allegedly Stole $212,000

HARTFORD (CN) - The director of a New Haven-area charter school stole $212,000 of public money and paid his wife a full-time salary though she was a full-time college student and worked only part time, the State of Connecticut claims in Superior Court. It sued school director Lyndon Pitter, his wife Nadine Pitter, and board member Fatima Ennis. They ran the Highville Mustard Seed school for eight years.
