Charlie Sheen Accuses Porn Star of Extortion

SANTA MONICA (CN) - Charlie Sheen claims that "an opportunistic pornographic film star" tried to extort him for $1 million after "a consensual encounter" in the Plaza Hotel in New York City in October. Sheen claims Christina Walsh pka Capri Anderson also stole his $165,000 watch.

In the Superior Court complaint, Sheen calls their "encounter" on the night of Oct. 25 "an attempted shakedown and extortion ... by an opportunistic pornographic film star and publicity-hungry scam artist".

"After a consensual encounter with Sheen in the Plaza Hotel in new York City on the evening of October 25, 2010, Walsh decided that this was her chance to become rich and famous," the complaint states. "To that end, she fabricated a sensational tale about being assaulted, battered and held against her will, and used that fictional story as a basis for an extortion plot against Sheen, threatening that if he did not pay her at least One Million Dollars, she would (i) go to the Aspen District Attorney with her false allegations, and (ii) seek to embarrass him and attempted to damage his career by going to the media with her false tale. When Sheen refused to succumb to Walsh's extortionate and illegal demands, Walsh's representatives contacted the Aspen District Attorney, who declined to do anything, and Walsh and her attorney solicited the highest bid they could get from network media, ultimately giving an exclusive interview to Good Morning America on November 22, 2010 in which Walsh repeated her fictions saga about the alleged events of October 25, 2010.

"Prior to going public with her fabricated tale, Walsh admitted to several third parties that she was not assaulted, battered, or held against her will by Sheen. Similarly, Walsh told New York City police that she was not injured and that Sheen acted 'like a total gentleman.' Indeed, immediately after the alleged incident, Walsh posted on her porn website that she was 'fine' and that if you wanted to see more of her, for a price, one could enter the website. Even after unsuccessfully attempting to have the Aspen District Attorney take action against Sheen based on her fabricated lies, Walsh continued to try to extort Sheen, threatening that if he did not pay her $500,000, she would go public with her false story. Through this action, Sheen intends to expose Walsh for the fraud that she is, and to seek redress for her unlawful attempt to extort an exorbitant sum of money from him based on sheer lies and deceit."

In the complaint, Sheen says he met Walsh on the evening of Oct. 25 at a bar in the Plaza Hotel. They went to dinner and then to Sheen's room, the complaint states.

It continues: "Shortly after they had gotten into the room, Sheen discovered that a very expensive Patek Philippe watch which he had purchased in May 2010 for $165,000 was missing. Sheen asked Walsh to return the watch, and when Walsh refused and falsely denied that she had taken the watch, Sheen became extremely upset. Walsh then locked herself in the bathroom of the hotel room and refused to come out. At no time did Sheen assault, batter or threaten Walsh. Nor did Sheen hold her against her will. Walsh was the one who locked herself in the bathroom and refused to come out, apparently because she was afraid that sheen might find the watch on her."

Sheen says hotel security and New York City police were called to the room, and that Walsh "confirmed to them that she was not injured, and that she had not been assaulted, battered or held against her will." She also "told the police that Sheen had acted like a total gentleman," according to the complaint. Sheen adds that she left the hotel that evening "on her won, and did not go to the hospital or seek medical treatment for any alleged injuries that evening or at any time thereafter."

He says Walsh called an attorney in Los Angeles "the very next day and decided this was her opportunity to cash in. Walsh and her attorney concocted alleged details from the night before that were woven from whole cloth, with the specific design and intent of using the fabricated details to try to shake down Sheen for at least a millions dollars."

The complaint does not state the name of Walsh's attorney in Los Angeles, nor how much Good Morning America paid Walsh, if anything.

But Sheen says that Walsh apparently got away with his watch, as he demands $165,000 in damages for conversion, stating that she "misappropriate and stole plaintiff's rare Patek Philippe watch ... which has a value of $165,000."

The complaint adds that Walsh's attorney told Sheen's attorney that the threat to go to the Aspen District Attorney was so "that such (fabricated) information might cause Sheen's probation to be revoked." (Parentheses in complaint.)

Sheen pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges in Aspen this summer, stemming from a Christmas Day 2009 fight with his wife.

Sheen demands punitive damages for civil extortion, conversion and prima facie tort. He is represented by Martin Singer with Lavely & Singer.
