Charity Corruption

The former CEO of a Missouri-based health care charity admitted to playing a role in a political corruption scheme involving the misuse of charity money to pay lobbyists and bribe state lawmakers in Arkansas and Missouri.  

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The former CEO of a Missouri-based health care charity admitted to playing a role in a political corruption scheme involving the misuse of charity money to pay lobbyists and bribe state lawmakers in Arkansas and Missouri.

Marilyn Luann Nolan, 68, the former head of Preferred Family Healthcare, pleaded guilty Friday to conspiracy to embezzle and misapply the funds of a charitable organization that received federal assistance.
