ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A federal judge in New Mexico dismissed a Telephone Consumer Protection Act lawsuit brought against Albuquerque, which made automated calls to citizens publicizing virtual town halls during the Covid-19 pandemic. The calls fall under the “emergency purposes exception,” served no “commercial purpose” and were made within the “timeframe of a national emergency.”
