CFTC Busts $44 Million Internet Caper

CHICAGO (CN) - An Argentinian operating through accounts with a Greenwich, Conn., futures dealer defrauded 420 customers of $44 million in commodity futures contracts and spent their money without authorization, the U.S. Commodity Future Trading Commission claims in Federal Court. It sued Diego Mariano Rolando, who used the Internet sites Roclerman.com. and IA Trading.com, registered in Scarsdale, and claims he paid third parties to refer his victims to him. See complaint.
