Census on Family & Fertility Shows Decline

U.S. Census figures released Wednesday show a slow disintegration of the traditional family with fewer children living at home, fewer people having children and more people living out of wedlock. The percentage of women in their forties who are childless has doubled in the last thirty years. While the number of children in homes with two parents varied dramatically by race: 85% for Asians, 78% for whites, 70% for Hispanics and 38% for black children.
